Welcome to North East Dance. I founded this company with a simple but powerful belief: that dance belongs to everyone.

Growing up in the North East, I saw first-hand how communities could be transformed when people came together through movement. Dance isn't just exercise — it's a way of building confidence, forming connections, and discovering joy in everyday life.

Over the years, we've grown from a small dance studio into a Community Interest Company that serves thousands of people across the region. We work in schools, community centres, care homes, and online — wherever people need us. Our team of dedicated dance educators and practitioners share my passion for making dance accessible to all.

What makes me most proud is the stories I hear from the people we work with. The child who found their confidence through street dance. The elderly resident who rediscovered the joy of movement through our seated exercise programme. The young person who turned their life around through our alternative curriculum. These stories remind me every day why we do what we do.

We may be small, but we are mighty. And with the support of our incredible team, our partners, and our community, we will continue to bring dance to everyone who needs it.
