Social Awareness Programme
Dare to Be…® is an exciting initiative from North East Dance, specifically designed for young people. The programme addresses eighteen subjects or themes that impact youth in today’s society. By focusing on hard-hitting and gritty topics, we aim to support and enhance the learning process through education, physical activity, and creative expression.
Dance serves as an excellent engagement tool, and our primary objectives are to engage with, support, raise awareness, and nurture talent in young people, helping them reach their full potential.
We aim to empower young people through this series of workshops, leveraging our knowledge to inspire them to make informed lifestyle choices. Many young people face immense pressure to conform to peer groups or media influences, which can lead them to engage in harmful behaviours such as promoting hatred, taking drugs, smoking, drinking alcohol, or participating in youth disorder or crime.
It’s essential to challenge and address the negative perceptions that some young people have of themselves and others, and to confront pre-conceived notions of what is acceptable or unacceptable.

Pricing & Packages
Package 1 — Single Course (NED Delivered)
Any 1 course delivered by the NED team. Includes all course content, learning outcomes, assessment criteria, lesson plans and workbooks. Two NED team members deliver to a maximum of 30 participants.
