Updates at North East Dance

We provide FREE Adult Learning Courses to people 19 plus living in County Durham. Our courses are: Let’s All Boogie – For Adults with their toddlers Step Forward – A dance or fitness class for adults only Our courses are funded by Durham County Council and can be delivered face to face in community venues. Even though our work in community leisure centres has stopped we are still continuing to deliver in our educational settings. Our work in schools and Adult Learning Courses are still running where possible. If you have a school that is looking for dance or physical activity or a group that would be interested in an Adult Learning Course please email clare@northeastdance.com for more information. We can deliver face to face or online.

As part of our partnership with Street Games North East Dance will be providing FREE dance sessions in the following parks over the Easter Holidays 10am-2pm: Tuesday 6th April – Heaton Park Wednesday 7th April – St Lawrence Park Thursday 8th April – Lezes Park Friday 9th April – Heaton Park Monday 12th April – St Lawrence Park Tuesday 13th April – Lezes Park Wednesday 14th April – Heaton Park Thursday 15th April – St Lawrence Park All children who attend sessions at the parks will receive a FREE packed lunch. This week we have been recording our dare to be routines for our new topics in our dare to be… programme! North East Dance have created their own unique programme which includes 18 social issues that young adults face today. Our new programmes include Dare to Matter – Black Lives Matter and Dare to Recover – COVID19. We have now created a new Media Centre on our website so that our clients and customers can access online classes during this COVID-19 Lockdown period. We currently have schools accessing street dance classes and customers taking Zumba, Legs, Bums and Tums and Circuits. During this period we are also still delivering our Adult Learning Courses online to those with additional needs. We hope that everyone is staying safe!
